The Challenge:

Purina made a super fun product called Beggin Party Poppers that literally pops dogs’ treats into the air for them to catch. They wanted to get the word out primarily on social media––where dog parents and whimsical products thrive.

My Thinking:

Julian Smith and Papertown Entertainment brought me on to help get a corgi to dance. (Dream job.) I reference several Lonely Island and Beastie Boys music videos as we wrote and re-wrote lyrics to match the dog’s movement/dancing, all while trying to make it look like a genuine hardcore hip-hop music video. We didn’t want to wink at the camera too much. It was the funniest when we treated the corgi like some kind of rap genius. Turned out he was just a regular corgi but people still loved it.
